Binding Prohibition Lifted: Jones Road Fire

Effective immediately, the binding prohibition in place due to the Jones Road fire in New Jersey has been lifted in the following zip codes: 08005; 08006; 08015; 08731; 08734; 08752; 08758; 08759.

Because our policies are effective at 12:01 a.m. at the mailing address of the named insured, you should not accept any binder for a risk located in the above location(s) with a date prior to April 29, 2025.

As a reminder, our binding prohibition did not extend to renewals. We will honor the terms we quoted. Because your customers may have offices closed, loss of phone, etc., make sure you refer any renewals that are requesting backdate to your underwriter.

Our underwriting guides prohibit the binding of any new business that includes property or inland marine or the increasing of any property or inland marine limit on an in-force policy written near an imminent catastrophe. These rules will remain in force until notice is given that the prohibition has been lifted.
